Xi'an Bell Tower

Continuing posting of the past trip to Xi'an. Selecting the best of the photos, in reduced size (50%width, 50% height), taken there. If anyone wants the ones that didn't come out that well, or full sized of the ones I preferred and posted let me know via comment or email!

This is the Bell Tower of Xi'an. This lives living protected in the city center that is wrapped in fortified city walls and gates(photo or two upcoming). The daytime photos didn't seem to come out as well as the nighttime one witht he moon hanging over the shoulder of the well lit structure. I chose to capture a little of the shopping district and community gathering place as a backdrop and foreground respectively. I tried to frame it with the streetlights as well, but missed by a touch on the right. In that gathering area of the steps there are a lot of minority Chinese, which means 'not Han Chinese lineage', who will either beg for money or send children aged near seven. That day I had bought some fruits from a street vendor and had the bag in tow, so I let them have at it as they approached. They grabbed large handfuls with bright eyes and smiling faces and began to eat immediately. I wish them all the best and hope they can overcome their current situations.
